Olianas Anfore Cannonau Di Sardegna 2020/2021

Every year Elena Casadei carefully selects the estate’s finest Cannonau grapes. Vinified and aged in Georgian terracotta amphorae for six months, which is an oxidative winemaking vessel which softens the tannins without imparting any oak influence. Aromas of morello cherry, mulberry, white pepper and earthiness. This wine is full bodied with concentrated but smooth tannins and an elegant long finish. Excellent accompaniment to robust stews, roast or braised beef, barbecued meats, tandoori spiced chicken and well flavoured cheeses. Su Porcheddu is the countryside tradition in Sardinia which is a roast pig this would be a locals preference to pair.
