This variety is a crossing of Catarratto and Muscat of Alexandria. Indigenous to Southern Italy and most commonly found in West Sicily where it thrives on the islands volcanic soil types. On the nose there are intense aromas of citrus blossom, pears, and grapefruit. The palate is forward and juicy with flavours white peach, lemon and a mineral note which lingers on the finish. The bright acidity leaves the wine beautifully balanced.
