Made from Piedmont’s native Cortese grapes grown in the commune of Gavi in the south of the region. The grapes are handled carefully, and the wine is made in stainless steel to preserve the fresh fruit character of Cortese. Light, pale yellow in colour, the aroma is perfumed with aromas of honeysuckle and almonds. The palate is beautifully balanced, with citrus fruit flavours and white blossom, finishing with a distinct bittersweet sensation. A clean a fresh white wine with a crisp acidity to balance the intense fruit notes and expressive complex notes. Gavi makes a good match for smoked salmon, shellfish and white meat dishes.
