Chateau de Pasquette Saint-Emilion Grand Cru 2014
£19.99 Mix Six
£23.99 per bottle
The wine presents a deep ruby hue, inviting you into its layered bouquet of ripe blackberries, plums, and cherries, accented by subtle notes of leather, tobacco, and a whisper of cedar. Velvety tannins and a rich, full-bodied mouthfeel. Dark fruit flavours are beautifully intertwined with hints of spice creating a harmonious depth. The finish is long, with a delicate minerality and a touch of vanilla from its oak aging.
The ripe, supple tannins make this an easy sipper by it's self but also excellent with roasted lamb or beef tenderloin. Dishes like wild mushroom risotto or braised mushrooms bring out the earthy notes in the wine. For desserts this wine goes well with dark chocolate torte or chocolate mousse.
