A brilliant fresh and full bodied wine which exhibits round sweet fruit flavours and extraordinary length. It is a delicious modern style of Barbera with both elegance and complexity supported by supple, moderate tannins. Barbera gives intense mouthfilling marasca cherry and red berry fruits, velvety texture and acidity softened by one year ageing in barrel. The tannins are present but fine grained which leads on to a fine and lasting finish. Works well with lamb, steak, sausages, roast pork and well flavoured cheeses.
