Lux de Luc Corbieres (Organic)

Since 1771 the Fabre family have been owners of Château Fabre in the heart of the Corbières region of the Languedoc. This is an organic blend of Mourvedre and Carignan grown on clay-limestone soils and no sulphites are added during the winemaking. The grapes are handpicked and after selective sorting there is a short period of skin maceration and then carbonic maceration. Ageing takes place in concrete tanks for 8 months. The wine is richly concentrated with fragrances of wild herbs, red fruits and floral expressions on the nose. Intense flavours of dark berry fruits and woodland hints on the palate, backed by subtle spice and velvety ripe tannins. A classic combination with cassoulet, sausages, rabbit and lamb.
